Think Positive!

It has been proven that athletes generally have a better body image than non-athletes. To create body confidence, focus on the positive points of being healthy.

-There is no “one” way to look
Individuals are created in different shapes and sizes. Being thin does not equal being healthy. Feel good about who you are mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually…not just what you look like.

-Be active
Try to increase daily activity, even if it is something small such as walking to a neighborhood store to pick up a couple things. Get involved in team sports, go for a morning walk to clear your head, create a weekly bike ride with co-workers, etc. The goal is to promote activities that make you feel strong and confident.

-Self promote
Compliments are generally given to others, yet rarely given to oneself. Take care of your body the way you would a loved one. Say positive things about your body and mind and the great things it is capable of accomplishing.
